Website Review 5: Form Elements - Grammarly

The site I found is called Grammarly. The purpose of the site is to serve as an AI writing assistant that helps improve the substance and style of your writing. This product can rewrite paragraphs, proofread content, and provide suggestions for clarity and tone. It also offers support with writing style, brand voice, and analytics, among other features.

It is similar to ChatGPT in that it helps improve writing skills; however, one key difference is that Grammarly's data remains within its own platform rather than being shared more broadly.

The form I found on the site for this week’s review was located under the “Contact Sales” button. The form featured 10 input fields, including text inputs such as email, phone number, and name, as well as dropdown menus for function and company size. It also included a comments section that allowed users to explain how the sales team could assist them.

1. Does the site's home page validate?
No, it does not.
2. Find any other page on the site. Does the second page validate?
No, it does not.
3. Document how many validation errors and/or warnings may exist on each of the two pages you validate.
The home page had 181 and the second page had 207 errors.
4. How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?
I would say the site would get a 9. It was very easy to navigate and find all the information you would want to know. When you went to the contact sales form it gave lots of information to fill out and I liked that not all the fields were type. Some were drop downs, giving the user less to have to do since it's still a lot of information to fill out.
5. How would you rate the site's usability on a scale of 1 (horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?
I would also give it a 10. It was very simple, clean, and concise in the way it presented all the material. It gave plenty of information but categorized it in a way that didn't feel overwhelming to the user.
6. Does the site meet its purpose?
Yes, it does. Its gives you plenty of information of why you should use their product and all of their plan features, from the free plan for students to the the paid plans for businesses.
